The Integrated Management and Upgrade Project of Drinking Water Source Management System

To fulfill the contract requirements and meet the needs of EPA(Environmental Protection Administration), the implementation of this year's project is divided into three major work projects to complete the tasks assigned by the EPA. In the "Drinking Water Source and Water Quality Conservation Area Geographic Information System" feature enhancement, updating map database and software maintenance section, the major river and reservoir water quality maps, the street view display function from addresses coordinate positioning have been completed. On the other hand, optimization of the land list and the drinking water protection area "contains" feature, which scheduling query feature can be used to return the results through e-mail to save operation waiting time has been completed. The map printing and editing feature is also provided to improve the system's friendliness and application. In the "Drinking Water Source and Water Quality Conservation Area Geographic Information System" function expansion section, the statistics query function, active message notification function and the intensify of data connection with the EEMS system have been completed. The newly added 2021 drinking water performance appraisal function has been completed. The released and updated drinking water open dataset within 425,162 data have been done, the "Monthly Tap Water Quality Sampling Data" dataset has been released. As regards system operation related presentations and information security maintenance management operations, a “Nationwide Drinking Water Management Operations Review Meeting and Data Utilization Presentation” held in October, and will be completed the revisions of the draft version of the “Explanation of the Evaluation of Government Policy in Regard to Changes in the Area Covered by Drinking Water Quality Protection Zones” at October. In summary, the system provides 32,880 land inquiry services and 26,225 water quality inspection and audit records. User satisfaction reached 85.7%. This project optimized various system functions based on the management needs of EPA, including reduced operational obstacles, and improved management execution efficiency.
